Rapid prototyping is an ideal tool to shorten the time from the idea to the product marketing with simultaneous reduction of the development costs and increase of quality of finished products. The newly created prototypes have a high geometrical accuracy, whereas the mechanical properties of materials from which they are made usually do not meet the requirements of the finished product. Therefore they are mainly intended for presentations of finished products, visualization of concepts, shape analyses, fitting analyses and easy functional tests.
In the year 2005, our company has purchased Perfactory, a rapid prototyping machine which uses Direct Light Processing to produce high definition Photopolymer Resin components. Perfactory cures the build material layer by layer and not spot by spot. The build speed is independent from part size and geometry. Perfactory Standard has a build speed of approx. 15 to 25 mm Z-height build-up per hour. It can build prototypes of size 160x140x230 mm.
